ISKA World Amateur Championships 2012

Valkenburg, Netherlands 30th October - 3rd November 2012

Valkenburg the town of spas and sidewalk cafés, of caves and castles will host the 2012 ISKA Amateur World Championships. Tourists have been travelling to this city in the beautiful South Limburg region of the Netherlands for more than 150 years, the many attractions include 12th century castle ruins, the velvet marlstone caves, the Thermae spa with hot pools, steam baths and saunas. You can take a chairlift up the hill to the Wilhelmina Tower, and then ride a bobsled back down the hill.

At the night the Centre of Valkenburg has many attractive restaurants and lively bars, sitting high above the town looking like a villain’s lair from a James Bond movie is Holland Casino if you want to gamble the night away.

ISKA Argentina's National Director Horacio Brest brought together kickboxers from Paraguay and Argentina for a country versus country showdown. The fights thrilled a large crowd gathered around the ring for the action. Several fights ended in knockouts and several more went down to the wire!


Fox Sports Latin America broadcast the event live across South America. Fox Sports is a 24 hour a day sports network broadcasting in Spanish. In Latin America it is only surpassed by the very largest international sports network, ESPN. Fox Sports Latin America is well-established, having been broadcasting for 15+ years. It broadcasts the premiere events, including South American, Mexican, and European soccer leagues, Formula 1 racing, and UFC.
 
Changes to ISKA weight divisions

ISKA have made changes to three weight division, the Super-cruiser-weight division will change from 91.8kg to 94.1kg, the Heavyweight division limit will change form 96.4kg to 101.4kg and Super-heavyweight will change to + 101.5kg. The new weight divisions already established in the USA will come in to effect in Europe on the 5th February 2012
Super-cruiserweight 88.3kg-94.1kg
Heavyweight 94.1kg-101.4kg
Super-heavyweight + 101.5kg
